Just 10 minutes by car from Stansted Airport and a three minute walk from Stansted Mountfitchet railway station. The hotel is situated in the heart of this historical village with many properties dating back to the 16th century. There is a fine selection of restaurants all within a few minutes walk of Chimneys, including 4 pubs and 6 restaurants as well as 3 take-aways. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break in this beautiful part of England or simply needing to be near Stansted Airport, we are sure you will enjoy your stay.

My husband and I and two adult children were visiting family in the Stansted area and due to the limited space in their home we rented one room at Chimneys. The beds were comfortable and the location ideal. The B & B is just a short walk to the train station which we used to take into the city each day. One night when we drove the kids back to the B & B their room key was left back at the house and even though it was close to 10PM the owner graciously let the us in. We apologized over and over for our error but he said not to worry. I would highly recommend the Chimneys to anyone.

I received a warm, friendly welcome from the owner, was then offered a most welcome pot of tea which I drank in their comfortable sitting room, which also has a cupboard with a selection of videos you can watch. The bedroom was spotless and beautifully decorated, the bathroom very spacious. Kettle, tea and coffee in the room as well as fresh milk....not little pots of long life!! I was leaving early and found an excellent breakfast left out for me....croissants, cereal, fresh fruit etc...and not forgetting a selection of home made jams and marmalades!! A lovely village with many restaurants. A great place to stay, I would definitely use The Chimneys again.
