After having dinner and being surprised with champagne and dessert, we stayed around in the lobby lounge for drinks and even mingled outside to the fire pit, while enjoying the outstanding jazz band and singer(she was amazing! Later we found out that the hotel upgraded the room and decorated it with rose petals, vases filled with flowers, a personalized box of candy and a framed picture of my brother and Mandy! Since that night (December 2nd, 2005), my parents have celebrated their 25th anniversary there and received the same loyal service as usual. Me and my mom also visit the spa once a year for a massage and have been tickled to death with their service and beautiful spa area!. Read review

The Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation might just be my favorite place in the world. My husband and I have been here twice (so far). Once with another couple for a relaxing adult vacation and then came back again with our young children for Easter. This place is incredible! The staff are welcoming and more than accomodating (my drink was delivered to me IN the pool by the waitress who walked in with her clothes on and could barely stand with her head above water). I thought I was dreaming! The lakefront location is serene and beautiful and sooo relaxing, The grounds are impeccable. The rooms are impeccable ( as you would expect). The kids LOVED making their own smores(all materials provided) at the huge fire pit (maintained nightly by staff) while my husband and I relaxed nearby under the stars in adirondack chairs. We have stayed at several Ritz Carlton locations and other similiar luxury hotels-but this is by far my favorite. You cannot help but begin unwinding the moment you step into the lobby with its very upscale "lodge" amenities: a huge fireplace, porch with rockers overlooking the grounds/lake, and a bar area with comfortable chairs and sofas. The restaurant with outside dining overlooking the lake is our favorite. If you are looking to get away from it all---this is the place. All you have to do is look at the website pictures and you can feel stress dissipating. We are going back AGAIN in 2 days, this time for 4 nights with kids, and I can feel myself unwinding already. If I was only allowed to travel to one place over and over for the rest of my life..this is the place!

ter my very 'outdoorsy' brother decided to propose to his girlfriend at the Lodge, we thought that it would be a great idea. As a family we planned out an elaborate plan to lure Mandy to the Lodge by telling her that we were all meeting up to attend an awards banquet there for the local chamber of commerce. After proposing, my brother and his fiance came down to meet the family by the huge fire place as a surprise! We then all headed down to Georgias to celebrate the new engagement. This place will always be special to me b/c of the few wonderful events in my life that have taken place there...
My husband and I have been here twice and really love it. We have only stayed one night and been there a little less than twenty-four hours; yet we feel as if we have been away for an entire weekend!! It is so relaxing! We look forward to being able to go again soon.

We also enjoyed the spa while we were there. We felt that they treated you like royalty.
