We were very skeptical about staying at this hotel after reading the reviews here on tripadvisor. In fact, I was frantic because I was traveling on business and my school had already paid for the room. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by what we found at the hotel. Becky was the desk clerk. She was very friendly. The room was small, but it was clean and had NO BUGS. We were also surprised about the nice refrigerator and microwave in the room. The carpet was a little worn, but all in all it is a very good hotel for business travel. We attended a downtown conference at the Georgia World Congress Center. For what we paid, we could not have been more satisfied. This hotel was half of what any of the other hotels near the GWCC was. The continental breakfast was fresh each morning. There was security outside the hotel. At no time did I feel afraid during our stay. The hotel was just being painted on the outside when we arrived on Sunday. By Thursday when we left, the painting was complete and it looked very nice. I had no trouble connecting to the free internet. Parking was free. It was easy to access the interstate (I85 and I75) from the hotel. A small shopping center (Cheshire Square) is near the hotel with a triplex cinema and a Publix. If you drive a little way from the hotel you can shop at Phipps Plaza (Versace, Jimmy Choo, Armani, etc.) or Lenox Square. There is also a Quiznos nearby. A great business hotel for those needing a safe place to hang their hat in between meetings. Try the Tavern on Phipps for a really good meal - they play jazz music and the salads and sandwiches are killer! I wouldn't use this hotel for a family vacation, but as a business hotel it is adequate.

My first disapointment via Priceline. This was just in the room I stayed. Most light fixtures were missing bulbs. There was no toilet paper. The a/c sounded like a babling brook with water trapped inside the unit, which also gave out a musty odor. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. Think twice if you plan to stay here.
