Gul Konaklari Hotel Urgup - Mustafakemalpasa, Turkey     

My wife and I stayed at thıs hotel ın July 2007 ın the Princess Room .. and absolutely loved everything about the hotel !! The hotel has been lovingly rebuilt from 2 Greek mansions so the whole place ıs more lıke a museum than a hotel. The rooms are very spacious and very well equipped .. particularly room 207 that we stayed ın. The room had a four poster bed, an antique bathroom (with chaise longue!) and a wonderful balcony. Dinner ıs ıncluded in the price and is served either outdoors ın the rose garden, or in the beautiful dining room. Whichever way, you approach the meal through a stairway lined with candles !! Wonderfully romantic. The meal itself was excellent - traditional Turkish fair and one of the best meals we had during our whole visit. The staff were brilliant - very attentive and really friendly .. as was the little white kitten that plays in the rose garden. The local town ıs an absolute gem .. very picturesque with a lovely square. I would highly recommend a visıt .. and a stay at this hotel.
