Despite the reviews I read before, I find a more confortable situation. Location excellent, kindness and disponibility of the staff excellent. It has been for me and my daughters a wonderful stay. You have only to expect very small rooms and an atmosphere a little "demodè", but for a weekend stay very ok!

super location street a bit noisy breakfast room has a beautiful view breakfast was fresh and good staff very friendly

It was my third time going to Istanbul. Despite i booked a room in Dedem Hotel for 5 nights i only stayed 10 hours (1 night), 2 hours after i entered in "that disgusting room" a flee bite several times on my foot, which ruined my holidays as my foot became inflamed for the rest of my holidays and i could hardly walk.I believe this hotel needs a deep hygenic inspection and disinfection. The room had a heavy stinking smell of cigarettes and the curtains were filthy.We had no proper sheets on the bed just some sort of "piece of cloth" hardly covering the matress.The photos showig on the website are very tricky.The shower room was incredibly tiny and mouldy with very old towels (wore out).There were just 3 hangers in the wardrobe.The lights over the night tables did not work, any of the 2 turned on.The breakfast was VERY poor and with no quality at all and there wasn´t anyone serving (I couldn't even have a cup of coffee as the milk was finished and there were no spones and no one was there).At 11a.m i was getting out of that pigsty, and the reception young man wanted me to pay for 2 nights! when i only stayed in that HELL for 10 hours!.So I read the conditions of this website and only accepted to pay the 1 night with the 20% extra for cancelling my reservation booked just the day before travelling. Seriously Sirs, this hotel is not up to the standard of a 3 stars hotel to my understanding, and I hope it is inspected because there are flees there and I think this is serious.
