We find the hotel very good for that price. It was central and quiet. It was a perfect start of the day to eat breakfast at the wonderful roofterrace. Mustafa at the reseption was very helpful!
Mattress felt like it was made from the same material as a car wash sponge.
Bathroom had mould in grouting and room smelt of cigarette smoke on arrival.
Zero sound insulation between the hall, which meant we were woken up by both late arrivals and early leavers from 5am in the morning.
Did not feel this hotel offers value for money - accomodation is closer to hostel standard.
Our stay at Antique was the best decision. There are probably more comfortable, more luxurious hotels, but regarding the price and the friendlyness of the staff, it was unbeatable.
Although we arrived at 9 in the morning (check-in is at 12) we were immediately offered a breakfast and could enter the room already at 10. Everything was very clean (we ignored two or three tiny ants) and the rooms were sufficiently spacious.
But despite the excellent price/quality-ratio, the staff is the really outstanding feature of the hotel: We could ask for help or advice at any time of the day (reminder: it was ramadan) and we were always helped as good as possible. Especially asking about non-touristic places to go was unbeatable. And by the way: forget that Lonely Planet Traveller Guide - many things have either double the price as mentioned or did not even exist anymore. The better oppurtunity: ASK MUSTAFA OR ANNUS (staff).
Thanks guys - it was a great stay.
Friendly and pleasant staff. Lovely breakfast terrace overlooking the Bosphorous. Our first room was a little cramped, our second room much more spacious.
