Best Western Saint Sophia Hotel - Istanbul, Turkey

I would like to give Best Western St. Sophia hotel my best recommendation. Outstanding location next to the St Sophia Mosque, which means it is within walking distance to ALL major sites of Istanbul. It is my second stay at the St Sophia Hotel The managment of the hotel is outstanding. When learning we were on honeymoon we were met by a airconditioned car at the airport. The driver brought a huge bouquet of flowers and the complete staff greated us upon arrival at the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi in the room and a view to the St Sophia Mosque and the Blue Mosque. At no extra charge. All rooms (not only the suite)are good quality and value for money, good size, not worn-out, clean and tidy. Helpful, polite staff and nice breakfast. Again, the hotel manager, Ms. Tula, is in a league of her own! There is no doubt that we will return to Istanbul which in our opinion is the most magnificent city in the world. St Sophia Hotel will be our first choice of accommodation and we recommend to anyone.

The location is fantastic, so the disadvantage of a slight background noise of street traffic is acceptable. It's a nice 'human' building, and the breakfast is adequate. Overall pretty good value for money - and you can't beat the location. Hotel will willingly and efficiently arrange Airport transfer at reasonable cost.

The rooms were not so special. The situation is good.It is near Top Kapi , Blue Mosque and Haga Sofia. The tram went also near tho hotel. For those who come first time to Istanbul the situation is good. There is much traffic and noise.
