We stayed at the Uyan for a long weekend in early July. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We took a deluxe room, which was huge, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We were met at the airport by the hotel driver, a great treat. This hotel is in an amazing location, very close to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace. Take a left out of the hotel to get to them, take a right and you are in a quaint neighborhood full of sidewalk cafes and a mini-bazaar. The Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar are also within walking distance.

A group of us stayed 4 nights in mid June and were pleased with the hotel. It is well located for all the sights and is situated in a quiet street. The rooms are clean and well presented and the bathrooms are excellent. The transfer from the airport by the hotel went smoothly. The breakfast was adequate and similar to others we had in Turkey and the view from the rooftop was amazing. The only problem we encountered was when I asked reception for information regarding the public ferry trips up the Bospherous.I was told that they no longer operated and I should book the trip with SHE tours which they could help me with.Needless to say, the public ferry operates regularly and is only Euro 5 whereas the SHE tour was quoted at Euro 25.I was disappointed with the blatant attempt to mislead us regarding the ferries.
Overall I would recommend the hotel with the proviso to look elsewhere for unbiased sightseeing advice!
