I have been staying at Obelisk Hotel for 1 week and tomorrow I am leaving to go to Antalya I am so sorry for leaving that hotel ,wonderful Istanbul. I will come again to Istanbul and I will stay at Obelisk Hotel. I am a new member of tripadvisor reception stuff recommended that web site to me for my next holidays .It is a very nice web site .Thanks to everybody who prepare that page. My one friend recommended Obelisk Hotel to me and I choice it. When I came here I felt as it my home.Hotel stuff especially receptionists are very helpful, kind, friendly, honest. They do everything for guests pleasure. There is 24 hours room service. Breakfast is very marvellous on the nice restaurant which has a very nice sea view. And there is %10 discount for hotel guests at restaurant for lunch and dinner. Last evening I had special men? with fish and it was vey delicious and eating in the evening with fantastic view also feels nice. Location is wonderful. Obelisk Hotel is at the middle of the historical area. Blue Mosque,Hagia Sophia,Underground Cistern ,Topkap? Palece are a few minutes on foot.Grand Bazaar ,Spice Bazaar takes 10 minutes on foot. And there is free internet access at the lobby (I am using it now :) ) Rooms, lobby, restaurant are very clean. And I am staying in a nonsmoking room it has a fresh air.And there is very nice flowers in front of the hotel entrance door. I am recommending Obelisk hotel to everybody.I will come again.

Thanks to the Obelisk Hotel staff for making me feel so at home during my 8-night stay in Istanbul October 17-25, 2007. Sinan Cam and Mehmet Aycicek at the front desk were especially helpful, friendly, and professional. My room was comfortable and cleaned spotless every day. The breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful with tasty Turkish offerings; my favorites were juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, goat cheese, and black olives along with Turkish apricots, yogurt and rose jam on still-warm fresh bread. Best of all, the rooftop terrace has been expanded since my last visit, and now offers views not only of the Sea of Marmara but the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia as well. On some mornings, as I kept drinking my bottomless cup of high-octane Turkish tea, it was hard to leave my rooftop breakfast table because the sunrise views over this incredible city were so spectacular. Thanks again – I’ll be back!

Pat from England - Very friendly, helpful staff and a lovely comfortable room with a sea view made our stay in Istanbul a great experience. We stayed for a week and enjoyed all the famous sights which were all a 5 minute walk from the hotel, such as the Aya Sofia, the Cistern (our favourite), the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and much more. We also loved to walk about in the area around the hotel , the cobbled streets with great eating places, Bazaars and shops - calm after the hectic busy city. The hotel had free tea, coffee etc. in the lounge downstairs and free internet access as well. Typical Best Western however, you have to ask at the desk for your shower cap and sewing kit etc. !! An excellent and very enjoyable experience.
