Best Hotel In Istanbul!

The hotel is absolutely wonderful! Staff is most helpful, the location is just 2 minutes from the Blue Mosque and 5 minutes from Hagia Sophia, but still the voice of muazzin (the one calling for prayer) is very pleasant and not too loud like in some hotels at Sultanahmet (Old CIty). The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking, looking at the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Bosphorus. The brekfast is served on this terrace so it's a real pleasure! The price goes down the longer you stay and is very acceptable for such comfortable conditions! Have a nice stay in Istanbul! :)

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We were allocated a double room with a balcony overlooking the back of the hotel. The room was tiny with little storage space, but otherwise fine. It was kept very clean. We had breakfast - an assortment of cheeses, salad, yhogurts, jam, cerial, bread up in the rooftop terrace. There was a wonderful view overlooking the mosque. We had supper for 3 nights at the restauraunt next door. The people there were exceptonally pleasant and always gave us extra food without charging us. On the last night we tried somewhere else but didn't like it as much. We were able to visit most places on foot. We particularly enjoyed the spice market. This is not open on Sundays. We found the Turkish people to be very friendly and helpful. We were ripped of by a taxi driver but this didnt spoil our holiday. He pulled off the scam of pretending that we hadn't given him the right note in payment for the fare. When we mentioned it at the hotel they said that this happends fairly frequently. Overall a pleasant stay and the experience has made us decide that we will take a holiday in Turkey next year.

My boyfriend and I were originally given a room with two beds, but managed to negotiate a better room. Unfortunately it smelled of smoke, but we could open the windows and air it out. Istanbul was freezing in january so we could not really enjoy the roof-top terrace, but the heating in the room was adequate. The breakfast was great with delicious cheeses! Well worth a visit to this great city and if I had the chance to go again I would stay at Saba - but just make sure I got a double room!
