Hotel Nena - Istanbul, Turkey     

We were picked up at the airport right on time and delivered to the Nena Hotel. The staff is attentive, the location is excellent, the breakfast has a good variety, and the lounge areas are comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We stayed here twice, once after a cruise and once after a tour of Turkey and both times were treated beautifully. We booked the hotel through their secure internet site and had instant, secure booking confirmations to take with us. Transfers were included both from the cruise terminal and to the Hotel Conrad on Beyoglu side. The breakfasts were beautiful with lovely fresh fruit salad and strawberries, lovely breads and scones, scrambled eggs or omelet and the traditional european breakfasts of cheeses, meats, as well as some lovely Turkish offerings. We also had dinner in the hotel and b/c we had booked online had a 50% discount for dinner for 4 of us. Lovely dinner and polite and efficient service. Our room was at the front on the top floor and overlooked the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The only thing that we could possibly say that was annoying about this room, was when people were dining on the balcony above us, the chairs scraping on the floor would set your teeth on edge and we told management that it would be great if they could put something on the chairs to stop the noise and they said they would. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful as were the porters and breakfast staff. We would highly recommend this small boutique hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul. It is so convenient for exploring Sultahnamet, within walking distance of Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and lots of good restaurants on Divan Yolu the main street where the trams also run to the other side.
