Allstar Kervansaray - Istanbul, Turkey 

When I arrived at Hotel Kervansaray near Taksim Square in the newer part of the city, I was distressed to learn that my travel agent had not actually gotten reservations for this hotel. Fortunately, the young lady at the desk spoke excellent English. She made a few phone calls and we got the situation resolved. So our party of 5 stayed at this hotel. As soon as we got to our rooms, a plate of fruit arrived. Turkish friends were meeting us at the hotel, and they were very pleased about the location of the hotel. This hotel is small and quiet. The staff does its best to be helpful. I am planning to stay here when I return to Istanbul in the spring.
