This hotel is in a reasonable position unless you want a view of the lake. It is a clean hotel though very dated. The staff are helpful and the breakfast is included and ok. The beds are comfortable and large. Unfortunately the room stank of smoke. By far the worst hotel for plumbing ever. NO SHOWER... bizzare!! We did have a bath unfortunately it took half an hour to fill as the water dribbled out. When you SAT IN THE BATH THE RADIATOR OVERHEAD?? DRIPPED COLD WATER ON YOUR HEAD...RELAXING, NOT.

The Best Western in Como is a decent place. It is spotlessly clean but plain and unexciting. I got an average room with two twin beds and a large bath. This was on the 6th floor but with no view. There is an adequate lift and I also used the marble stairs. I was grateful to check in early, about 11 am, with no problem. It was very, very quiet . The hallways have some nice art. As a woman traveling alone I was pleased with how safe I felt at the hotel. The staff speak excellent English. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff will give you a whole pot of coffee with a separate pitcher of hot milk. It has a really good location - just down the hill and round the corner from the main train station in Como. The other train stations in town are on the other side of town and are used by more regional, local train lines. From the hotel it is a 5 minute walk to the lake. A handy grocery store is along that route. The hotel also has dinner which looked good but I didn't try.
