Alp Pasa Hotel was beautiful and full of interesting history. Very friendly
and skilled staff. I find the hotel suitable for singles/friends/couples but I would not recommend it for families with children or people with problems with stairs, wheelstair users etc. The pool is minimal. The
breakfast and dinner was excellent, but a fair warning should be made.
The location is perfect in the middle of the Old town, but no beaches nearby. Lots of construction works going on now. However this is
the situation in May07, so situation will surely improve. Overall a wonderful experience and good value for your money with the above
precautions.

Having stayed at many hotels in Turkey some not as expensive the hotel and settings are unique unfortunately so are the staff they are the most unfriendly bordering on rude people I have met anywhere in Turkey the hotel is expensive for meals & drinks most of the guests were German which may explain the staffs manner
Alp Pasa is a beautiful boutique hotel in the best location possible in the old city of Antalya. The rooms are large (even the standard room was bigger than our deluxe balcony room at the Sheraton Antalya), and the furnishings beautiful - nice pictures on the walls and cool antiques throughout the hotel. Also, there are tonnes of nooks in the communal areas to sit by yourself and read a book or lounge in the sun on a hidden balcony.
The breakfast buffet is fresh and simple - the dinner buffet is more varied with the most delicious meze and salad selection to start. The desserts are the perfect mix of sweet dishes, pastries and fruit. The dining area is refined, and the service from the waiters perfect. You sit in candle light around the central courtyard with a pianist providing musical ambiance. I love that the food and decor are specifically Turkish, so you are not in a bubble of a generic hotel which could be anywhere in the world.
The pool is more of a plunge pool to cool off in - it's not intended for swimming. The poolside lunches delivered to white clothed dining tables are delicious, and a bargain at only ?6 including a drink.
I would love to visit again, and recommend this boutique hotel to everyone - however, remember it is 'boutique', so don't turn up expecting a big chain monstrosity with football pitch sized swimming pools and buffet tables a mile long. Expect good local food, stylish decor, friendly people and the best location.
