Riviera Hotel - Alanya, Turkey     

after booking at last minute off the net through thomas cook we were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the riviera hotel, even after a 2 hour transfer in the early hours of the morning. we were greeted by half pleasant reception staff then shown to our sea view room by a vey smiley young porter. we had a very nice room immaculately clean , non smoking and fanstastic sea view. after unpacking we haeaded off for breakfast where we enjoyed a very good choice of continental and turkish cuisuine which was much better than some turkish hotels i have stayed in befor. the location of the riviera is great straight opposite a lovely clean and sandy beach and wonderful gardens and fountains on the way, oh and if you fancy a work out even an outside gym , volley ball and tennis courts. we were blessed with extremely good weather so spent most of the time in the sea or one of the pools in the hotel. we always managed to get sunbeds despite the fact most of the hotel was filled with germans and the cleanliness of the pools toilets and showers on pool side were immaculate. snacks during the day were very good from the pool bar although some of the waiters never seemed to crack a smile. excellent choice of resteraunts shops and bars close by would certainly recommend the elite resteraunt for their mixed grills! all in all the hotel was far better than we expected despite the cheesey entertainment on a few night but that added on to our amusement, good service and spotlessly clean i would definitely stop in the riviera again. happy holidays!!
