Albatros Apart Hotel - Alanya, Turkey     

Just returned from a week at the Albatros booked only a few weeks ago. Hotel was excellent value for money. We had booked a 2 bed apartment which was listed on the website but when we arrived were told they don't have 2 bed apartments, however there is a spacious lounge with 2 settees which, although we didn't try look as if they convert to beds. Rooms are very clean and towels changed every other day. Cleaners very thorough and make patterns with bedspread and fresh towels! Kitchen is very well stocked and you could easily cook a meal if you wished, however with plenty of restaurants around you probably won't want to. Bathroom clean and decent showere and nice size too. Breakfast is reasonable and well presented. You can get luch or dinner but not really a major restaurant as hotel is fairly small wih only 28 rooms. We liked this as not over crowded and guests tend to chat to each other more. Pool area pleasent and there is a bar which stays open very late. Staff and owner very friendy and helpful. Hotel is located in Oba which is a short bus ride from main Alanya or a decent walk (unless too hot) we liked this as meant we were close enough to be able to get to Alanya when we wanted but not swarmed with hoards of people and too much noise. Oba has it's own centre with plenty of shops and restaurants (Try Efes garden, the waitors are very entertaining, also Pelikan restaurant, try the special dishes and you won't be disappointed.) Market on Wednesday, next to hotel and huge. Overall if you want a reasonably priced hotel that is clean and comfortable and the staff friendly I would recommend the Albatros.
