  • My husband and I just returned from a week in Chiang Mai where we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the owners and staff at Golden Cupids. I got to help Peppe collect fresh herbs from her garden to prepare for our herbal steam therapy - not to be missed! And the Thai dinners prepared expertly by Peppe and her staff were the best that we've had, anywhere in the world! Peppe's fragrant rice soup with delicately seasoned meatballs and fresh garden herbs and vegetables.. Read review

  • It's quiet and safe with large rooms and a lovely garden and pool. Peppe is an amazing hostess and her cooking is exceptional, making this our favorite restaurant in Chiangmai. Make sure you take one of Peppe's cooking classes; the trip to the market, the fresh ingredients and the good instruction make for a wonderful day and a delicious lunch and dinner. The staff helped us discover the Chiangmai we were looking for: elephant rides, temples, waterfalls and local markets.. Read review

  • BEST ACCOMODATIONS – The Golden Cupids Hotel is about half an hour by taxi north of the old-city section of Chiang Mai. This four-year-old facility has nice grounds with a swimming pool and sauna, reasonable prices, peace and quiet, great food, and an excellent cooking class limited to five students each time. She runs the show with her husband, Peter, daughters Tuum and Jan (who handles email, reservations, billing, and such), and niece, Noi, along with other staff members (including an all-night security guard). No ear doctor was present that day at the nearest hospital, so she drove me to Chiangmai Ram Hospital in the old city and waited with me until I received excellent treatment (all or most doctors speak good English) for about US$15. Room price when we were there earlier this month: about US$62 including a fine breakfast.. Read review

  • I echo all the reviews below - staff were attentive, rooms were over sized and very good value (we stayed in room 3 which faced the pool) and Peppe and Peter were gracious hosts. Peppe in particular works day and night to ensure everyone is happy and the highlight of my trip to Thailand so far was the trip to the food markets with her to choose ingredients for a specially made dinner for myself and husband so that we could try local Thai specialities (including fried worms!. • We had great (free) breakfasts and incredible Thai dinners. Their rooms are beautiful, extra large, and very clean. Plus, their bathrooms are better than many luxury hotels. The view from the room was relaxing on one side and overlooked the beautifully landscaped front of the hotel on the other. We were able to park our rental car next to our room.. Read review
