Dining

Within the State Tower, there are a wide range of dining and entertainment choices under one roof.

Sirocco:
Located on the sixty-third floor, Sirocco is the world’s highest alfresco restaurant and one of Bangkok’s most coveted dining choices that never fails to leave one mesmerized. The restaurant features a breathtaking view of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya River.

Distil:
Everything about Distil spells exclusive. A selection of the most premium and authentic malt whiskies, vodkas and brandies are offered at Distil. Another unique feature of the restaurant is the Oyster Bar.

Mezzaluna:
Located on the sixty-fifth floor, Mezzaluna reminds you of the half-moon winking lazily through the night sky. The open kitchen steals the show at the Mezzaluna. You can view the cooks whipping up a delectable selection of Italian cuisine even as Bangkok beckons a look at her through the windows.

Breeze:
Located on the fifty-first and fifty-second floors, breeze was designed to revolutionise the Asian style seafood-dining scene in Bangkok taking it to a gourmet level. At Breeze, it’s not just the cuisine that embraces the pinnacle of grandeur, but also the design, ambience and service.

Dress code is an important tradition at our restaurants. We appreciate the appropriate smart casual attire and footwear in our restaurants and bars area.

We had a fantastic stay in the lebua when we stayed there in March. It was our first stop on our way to a friends wedding in Phuket and what a way to start our trip! It is a lovely hotel and I would reccomend it to anyone going to Bangkok. And when you compare the prices to hotel prices in the UK its also an absolute bargin!!

It was a bliss to take a larger-than-life break at lebua in Bangkok during IIFA weekend, and I was lucky to book my room in advance here to avail a special offer of 3+1 free night. I use portals like travelocity to compare the prices for the captioned dates, then double-check the offers directly at the property. It mostly works wonders for both hotels and airlines. The BMW airport pickup early morning was efficiently handled, the guest relations lady was prompted to receive us at the porch and led us directly to our balcony suite. We reached 55th floor through express lifts, the first feel of the room size took us by surprise. It appeared to be a steal for the money we were paying for it, we had to hold our excitement in place till the lady finished her mandatory brief about the facilities. It was a non-smoking room and my friend was a smoker. We were made to sign an undertaking and then the balcony doors were opened for our access. He could smoke outside in the balcony while marveling at the bird eyeview of Bangkok. However, there was a big confusion amongst the hotel staff about allowing a guest to smoke in a non-smoking floor - everytime we ordered for a matchbox during our stay. Language could be a minor challenge to communicate with the junior staff here. The room was so comfortable that we were dissuaded to step out in the muggy afternoons, airconditioning was so strong that we were fine with the impact of the living room AC unit in our bedroom. At times, we used to open the balcony door to ease the comfort level of room temperature (with total disrespect for environment and energy conservation). Our room rate was exclusive of breakfast, but we could stock the refrigerator with basic supplies and use the hot plates and microwave over to help ourselves. We had two television sets at our disposal, so two of us could see different programs. Toilet was very spacious too and supplies were appropriately Bvlgari ;-) There is nothing grand about the public areas and corridors - but don't miss their award-winning restaurant at the rooftop. Sirocco - part of The Dome along with its almost-hanging Sky Bar at 68th level is an experience to treasure for rest of your life. This is the place to fix your blind dates a-la-sleepless in seattle, a place to test your vertigo, a place to embrace the breeze while savouring the gourmet delights in an al-fresco setting at such a height. This is very popular with both locals and tourists and many of them are not aware of the hotel facility within this building. Our celebrity friends, who were housed at another hotel by the organisers of IIFA, came here for dinner and immediately fell in love with the property. The location is convenient to walk across to other legendary and popular hotels for meals. I had a high-tea at Authors Lounge at Oriental; took a free ferry from pier next to Shangri La for a dinner at The Peninsula. We are sure that there would be many more trips to lebua in future...
