My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night before flying out
of Bangkok for good the next day. While we didn't like Bangkok (only spent two nights there out of our two weeks in Thailand), this hotel was quite nice for the price. On the hotels.com webpage, we got the studio suite for one night for about $55, which seemed a good price for a high-rise hotel in Bangkok based on our limited experience in Thailand. It was easy to get to and from the airport by taxi (about 250 baht each way in a metered taxi). The staff was friendly and helpful, although we didn't receive our wake-up call. The room was clean except for some mildew in the shower which seems hard to avoid in such a humid climate. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood
has plenty of restaurants. The area is well-known for the tourist sex-trade so we were a bit nervous to stay there but there was no obvious sleaziness in the 12 hours we were there. We would stay there
again if we had to stay in Bangkok.
Staff has limited English, Improvement in English skills would be great.
They also have a great shuttle that takes you to The Emporium Mall and also pick up. From there you can take the subway to many locations. We thought that was fantastic.
The Best thing about the rooms is that they have a mini kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and stove. We really enjoyed that for quick snacks and early morning coffee.
I've stayed at this hotel twice before; in Jan 2006 and in Feb 2007. Both times was a great experience. The hotel is situated across from the 'Davis' hotel and is very close to a grocery store that stays open very late. This grocery store has fresh fruits and vegetables that are 'dirt' cheap. The room is nice and big w/ a couch and full size refrigerator. The bathroom is very nice and big and clean. Room service was so affordable that at times it was cheaper than eating out! The hotel is in a quiet area that is right down the street from the main road of Sukhumvit. They have a service that runs every hour to take you up to the top of the street or you can take a 15 minute walk to get up to the main road. Along the way are nice shops and plenty of places to get a $5-10 massage. There is also a 'Tesco' right around the corner from the hotel.
I would definitely stay at this hotel each time we go back!.. :)
I booked 31 rooms at the President Park as a group booking for a buisness trip. All members of my team were happy with the rooms, facilities and service by the friendly staff.
I came home from work every day to a warm greeting by the proffessional girls ang guys at the front desk.
Our experience at this hotel has been one to remember.
Thank you to all of the staff and Manager and i will see you on my next trip.
