3A travel agent in Bangkok booked us in here for 1 night before we moved on to Cambodia so it wasn't really our choice to stay here (though it had been in our short list of places before we first came out to Thailand) & luckily we didn't have to stay long.
The room was completely souless, it felt like being in a hospital room. So bare & cold feeling, our room looked out onto a car park, filthy building & partial view of the expressway, though I believe some of them can look down to the pool or the outdoor eating area - I'd request one of these views if I ever went back again (which I wouldn't choose to). The tv had barely any channels working if this is something you're paying extra for.
This was the poorest place out of the 8 hotels in Thailand we stayed in over the past month. The New World Lodge our first stop was far superior & cheaper (though didn't have a pool) & I would recommend it over this place.
It was a good 20 minute walk from Kao San Rd, you could easily stay in places alot cheaper & nicer nearer it if proximity to KSR is a factor in your consideration.
Towels, shampoo & soap was provided along with complimentary drinking water & a minibar. The air conditioning was centralised though with individual room controls & it was a bit on the noisy side. The breakfast looked like a good selection typical of Thailand though my partner & I never ate much.
On the plus side the place was clean & bug free so while it wasn 't a fabulous visit mostly apperance & location wise, it wasn't bad either.
