Posted: Feb 02, 2011 - Overall, I was quite pleased with the Swissotel Le Concorde - I got a great breakfast inclusive rate, and the lobby and room were nicely decorated and spacious - far larger than traditional hotel rooms. The bathroom was also large, with marble tiles throughout. The rooms are fairly modern, with a central control module for lighting and music, and high speed internet access (THB 589 per day). The breakfast room is enormous which means there's never a problem to get a table. There is a nice outdoor pool (on the 5th floor) and poolside bar, not exactly resort quality but certainly sufficient. The main downside is location - there is local shopping and nightlife close by, but Sumkivit Road is a more central, pedestrian friendly area that I'd recommend to a first time visitor.. Read review
