The room was a great size, lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We did not use ay of the hotels fitness or other amenities other than having an enjoyable cocktail in the evening as we were out all day sightseeing. Our intention was not to stay in the hotel and swim but to see the sights --excellent and clean--highly recommend.. Read review

We had only a "basic" room on a "low" floor (7) but we found the room large and well-equipped and the views southwards down river spectacular. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice. The restaurants on-site were also good although more expensive than eating out in Bangkok itself. We really recommend staying in a riverside hotel, as it felt away from the chaos of the city and yet the frequent shuttle boats to the skytrain station made travel easy. We also stayed at the Marriott resort hotel in Bangkok at the end of our holiday; the Marriott is very good, but further away by shuttle boat.. Read review

After making our way from north to south in Vietnam and then crossing through Cambodia for something a bit different and some much needed beach time, we finished our honeymoon in Bangkok with 3 nights at this excellent hotel. In a prime location on the riverside with wonderful views from our 15th floor room we could not have asked for more. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in was just what was required for my tired body and I got it here. A free river ferry takes you back and forth to the Sky rail staion from where you can get around Bangkok from above in relative comfort or you can catch the river taxi in both directions for as far as it will take you for a minimal cost. A truly beautiful hotel with the most efficient staff I have had the pleasure of dealing with in 5 different trips to the region over the last 8 years. 2 excellent swimming pools provide the respite that is sometimes needed from the manic actuivity of Bangkok and an amazing breakfast each morning just topped it all off.. We stayed on the Starwood Preferred Guest floor and had a fabulous room. The bathroom and shower was immaculate, with great pressure in the shower and lots of hot water. In the Bangkok heat, we were showering 2 - 3 times a day). However, I found the room to be extremely clean and am surprised by the other comments.. Read review

The River location is a great escape from the city and the free boat to the SkyTrain is a lovely way to start and end a busy day. The staff are so helpful and friendly - the concierge even got us a taxi driver who knew how to get to the Harley Davidson dealer which is way off the tourist routes.
