We stayed there twice during this trip. Each lasted three nights. These are in-between traveling out of town. The first three nights we stayed in superior rooms. The 2nd three nights due to no more superior rooms, we moved to deluxe rooms. We thought we enjoyed it fine already with the superior rooms value -wise. But the deluxe blew us away. It was like being in a palace. The connecting walking was lined with a water-lily water way. Upon entering the deluxe building, you see grand marble floor with elegant, spacious restaurant on the left and the gorgeous staircase on the right. You keep on walking and enter the subdued elegantly decorated elevator to your spacious room with fantastic layout, luxurious bathroom. When we woke up in the morning, the view out our bedroom window was greenery which was covered with fog. For the value, it was much, much better than those five star hotels run by the expensive International names. We would stay at Rama again and again. The extra plus was that there had been weddings everyday during out stay, so we enjoyed watching those fancy dressed guests every evening, sometime even in the late mornings ( the Thai wedding has a morning religious ceremoney, the secular blessing ceremony in the afternoon, and the reception in the evening.)

I stayed in this hotel only last week on my way to Vietnam where I actually am writing this from at the moment. The hotel is close to the airport and has 3restaraunts a bar and a spa area and pool. The beds are comfy and the bathroom was clean ,we ordered roomservice at 2am(damm jetlag and the food and service were fine. This hotel had a few down points such as a view of the back of some houses a buffet which I would not recommend which was luke warm also. But saying this i doubt you would stay here unless it was the reason you needed an airport hotel and for that purpose only then its fine. Used the spa for a bikini wax and it cost half the price that I pay at home :)
