The hotel has been well described by previous reviewers - an old socialist Interhotel 30 mins aways from downtown Bratislava in a barren suburb. Here are my two cents' worth: The business class rooms are okay, especially those with a view of the Castle. I stayed in one; some colleagues stayed in "normal" ones, which are decidedly not okay. The BC ones have good beds, okay furniture, dated but functional bathrooms. What I liked was a minibar that was stocked yet had ample free space for one's own stuff. (Drink bottled water!) There is free internet connection in the room (with cable; free wifi in the lobby). The A/C is really a hyped-up fan; there is a small balcony for almost all rooms. The staff is generally okay; only the youngish, baldish head concierge is, as was frequently pointed out here, someone who really hates his job and especially guests who do such incredible things as check in, leave a key etc. As has been said before, the food is surprisingly good, both breakfast and normal meals (I only had pre-ordered ones); it seemed a bit on the expensive side. Conference facilities are normal to fine, although I prefer meeting rooms with daylight. Bratislava has become expensive (more expensive than nearby Vienna if you compare stars and location), and so this is a hotel for many conferences and meetings. It's a hassle to get downtown; public transport is okay but requires very detailed instructions, cabs are rip-offs more often than not. From and to the airport, try to book them in advance. Guests mainly include, as it seems, individual tourists (who didn't check this site before booking) and those in groups, conference participants, and stag party lads. The latter - oh well, I don't know what they do in Bratz, where the beer is not that cheap, but I guess in general they are no Mensa meeting. :-) I think this is not a particularly fun hotel for them, nor is it for the other guests if they stay there, so... I only had one problem with the hotel, and that was the laundry. (Thank you tripadvisor to give us a whining platform for boring anecdotes! ;-)) I handed in two pieces early in the morning; they should have been ready and in the room in the evening. They were not but were found after some searching. Neither was ironed though and the shirt was still as dirty as when handed in. told the one concierge right away and the really bad one in the morning again, who promised (if you can phrase it thus) to take care of it. The shirt was never cleaned, and of course I was charged for it when checking out. I refused and, after some time, persisted, but it was not nice (especially as I needed to leave my suitcase there for a few hours). Lesson: Don't deal with the evil concierge, and don't try to get your laundry done in this hotel. General tip: If you are going to Bratislava specifically, check out whether flying to Vienna Airport and then taking a hired car isn't cheaper and faster; if you start travelling within Europe, both is usually the case.
