Hotel Ribno Bled - Bled, Slovenia     

This little hotel was a comfortable and clean hotel to stay in. We were given 3 rooms all next to each other to accommodate our travel party. I recommend the breakfast buffet which was included in out 32 Euro per person per night rate. However, I recommed going our to dinner. The dinner buffet was nice, but for the rate of 10 Euro per person no matter what age, I feel we had better food and value at other resturants. While not directly in Bled, we were just a 5 min drive away and only 10 mins to a small ski hill that was not crowded and a great place for out beginner children to learn how to ski and snowboard. The only draw back to this hotel was the lack of in hotel entertainment. There is no pool and the hot tub was cold. However, for a weekend getaway we would stay there again.

We were looking to escape for a few days over the Christmas period and stumbled across this gem by chance. We cannot recommend highly enough, particularly if you are looking for value for money. Excellent service, friendly staff, good food and within a 20 mnute stroll of Bled (pure chocolate box location). The staff were willing to point us in the right direction from the local perspective and go that extra step. As a consequence we were able to enjoy midnight mass on Xmas eve, and other local events, including a welcome bonus of being able to ski at Krvavec a mere 40 minutes ski bus drive away. Slopes there are good for beginners/intermediates. Additional advise would be take your own hair dryer, and plenty of layers if you venture out in the winter as temperatures dont tend to stray above freezing.
