Me and my wife stay this hotel for 5 nights, clean, neat, and room size is ok, not too small (according to Asian hotels like Hong Kong, japan), service and people were nice, you call front desk, they knew your name, answer questions for you, any problem they solve for you quick. one of my bed side electric outlet not working, they set up an extension code for me to use and sent me a tiny box of chocolate for apology the next day. Although this is not a big deal, but it shows they care of their customers and make you feels good. The location is great!! in the center heart of Orchard Street, shops, malls, restaurants and food court all around, subway station just 2-3 minutes walk. Also the greatest things I like very much, they have free internet in room !!! most hotel would charge $10 to $20 a day for it, when you on tripe, you might need to check some emails or to do something. if pay and only use 10, 20 minutes, seems not worth it. its great to have no charge. Second thing I like very much is, they have a small refrigerator in room, and not only of that, they give you 2 cans of beer,2 bottles of water,1 bottle orange juice and 2 cans of coke no charge, everyday!!!! so if you came back to hotel, you can have cool drinks right the way, not good is no ice machine any where, have to call, and they send ice up to the room. Singapore is really HOT everyday, year round. I will highly recommend this hotel, and will give 4 and 3 quarter stars ( almost 5 stars). but only one thing, you have to watch the price you pay !!!!!!

I love this hotel. It was in a great spot. Orchard Road is just 2 minutes away. Easily walkable. I would stay at this hotel again. On the First friday of each month, Scotts Road has new musicians to come out and play which is right across the street from the Royal Plaza. Convenient. Across the street, you have the convenience of a 7 Eleven store and eateries.

Best Value For Your Money In Singapore

I stayed at the Royal Plaza on Scotts for a week in April 2009. This luxury hotel offers the best value for your money in Singapore. The room was a little on the small side, but was clean and comfortable for two people. The hotel offers a daily breakfast buffet which features a multitude of options sure to tantalize your taste buds; needless to say it was great. I also ordered room service several times and the food was delicious too. All staff members from the bellhop to the concierge were a pleasure to deal with. The Royal Plaza also has a lounge called Heat Ultra Lounge which was a great place to hang out and grab a nightcap. Conveniently located to all the major shopping malls and great places to eat, the MRT is only a short walk away. If you?re on the fence between the Royal Plaza and another hotel in Singapore, go with the Royal Plaza you will not be disappointed.

I travel often for business and have seen my share of good and bad hotels. This time I was on 4 days of vacation in Singapore. Positives: Great location if you are interested in shopping. Hotel is located in a very busy part of town but up in the room, it was super quiet. Convenient MRT station just a short walk away if you are interested in seeing other parts of town. Loved the large rain showerhead in the bathroom. Hotel provided free drinks in minibar which included soft drinks, juices and beer. Business centre provides 15 minutes of free Internet use to all clients so it was easy to stay up to date with family and friends at home. Staff and service was excellent! Negatives: Gym would be OK if it was air-conditioned. As it was, it felt like a sauna at 6am! Pool looked great with cascading waterfalls but I didn't try it out. Limited breakfast options as hotel restaurant only provides buffet breakfast at a cost of S$*. Yikes. Starbucks down the street doesn't open until 9am but small McDonald's opened 24 hours.
