So So - Messed up the booking

Was on a business trip with another colleague, but the hotel messed up our booking and gave us 1 bed for 2 men. My colleague ended sleeping on the couch (which was very nice of him)...not much apology was made and nothing else was done to make up for the mix-up. Would not stay there again.

Have previously stayed at this property on many occasions as it was the corporate choice in my previous employer (it used to be known as the Singapore Westin). I am opening a regional office in Singapore now and was looking forward to staying here again. Location is fantastic - probably the best in Singapore, In the heart of the CBD and easy access via MRT and Taxis. Even more so than before as many ne attractions are now in this area. Check-in was polite and efficient. F&B outlets were very ordinary with minimal asian influence in the menus - too much of a european leaning for my personal taste. Room was huge disappointment - lacking a feeling of luxury and care in both layout and maintenance. Fittings seemed worn and tired. Was not keen on returning to my room after each day and ventured out as much as possible. Bathroom amenities - hotel's own brand - very average quality and packaging was faded giving impression that nobody wanted to use them before me. All in all was rather disappointed compared to my previous stays at this location.

Great location- hotel is connected to malls with great shopping and wonderful restaurants. I have stayed at this hotel since it first opened as a Westin in the mid-80's. I'm surprised how well the hotel has been maintained and updated. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The hotel has a great pool and fitness center.
