The Negara on Claymore has been reborn as the Pan Pacific Orchard. The vast improvement is evident throughout the hotel. The lobby, reception area and front of the hotel have received a good facelift. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, with a good solid bed and flat screen TV.
The bathroom had a shower only (rain shower head).
Breakfast buffet has a good variety of offerings.
The location of the hotel is great, just off Orchard Road. A great Irish pub around the corner.
The hotel has a good pool area and healthclub. I did not have time to use the spa, maybe next time around.
It is also obvious that the staff seem to be enjoying the transition as several commented during my stay that this is now a Pan Pacific as if to say, we are a real hotel now.
I will definitely be back.

Myself and my partner just returned from a 4 day stay at the Pan Pacific Orchard, formerly Negara on Claymore in Singapore.
This a very good hotel with great service at a reasonable price. Rooms were good, the King size bed a delight to sleep in, and the breakfast was outstanding. Staff were attentive and nothing was a problem.
After check out we spent a day at Sentosa island and returned for a shower and to collect our luggage before an easy 20 min taxi ride(S$16) to the magnificent Changi airport.
My only gripe was paying S$7.00 for a warmish small can of Coke from the Mini-bar... beware
