1.4As I was travelling to Stockholm with my parents , I reserved Hotel Gustav Vasa since it claimed to offer triple rooms. However, as we arrived at night at the hotel the only room which was waiting for us was a (very small) double room, and as the hotel was full, the only option given to us was to place a mattress on the floor and sleep there. We were promised a reduction (from the rather hefty price of ca. 140 euro/night), but at the check-out the, a hotel clerk denied this agreement and tried to charge us the full price. He only gave in after a long and unpleasant discussion and calls to the management (resulting in a 10% reduction). In addition, the room was dated, dark, with window cracked, and certainly not worth the price. On the positive side, the location is good, next to the metro station, and only two stops from the city center, and breakfast quite decent. Still, the overall experience was rather poor.
