the carpet in the room was dirty, you did not want to step on it with your bare feet. Also shower was dirty. When you run water in the lavoire it bulbed up in the shower. sheets were clean and bed was Ok. There was not free inernet connection in room, it cost extra and there was no remote control for TV. Breakfast was OK

The overall standard of the hotel is NOT what you expect in that price range. The hotel is very old and worn out. If you want a good stay in Stockholm, find another hotel!

As I was travelling to Stockholm with my parents , I reserved Hotel Gustav Vasa since it claimed to offer triple rooms. However, as we arrived at night at the hotel the only room which was waiting for us was a (very small) double room, and as the hotel was full, the only option given to us was to place a mattress on the floor and sleep there. We were promised a reduction (from the rather hefty price of ca. 140 euro/night), but at the check-out the, a hotel clerk denied this agreement and tried to charge us the full price. He only gave in after a long and unpleasant discussion and calls to the management (resulting in a 10% reduction). In addition, the room was dated, dark, with window cracked, and certainly not worth the price. On the positive side, the location is good, next to the metro station, and only two stops from the city center, and breakfast quite decent. Still, the overall experience was rather poor.

We booked a triple room and it was our first stay at Gustav Vasa Hotel.

An old hotel well situated in Stockholm. We had a room towards the street, a bit noisy. We stayed for 2 days
