"Best price / quality in Stockholm"

The hotel has probably the best price / quality relationship in Stockholm, which is an important issue considerinh swedish high prices. It is located in the district of skarholmen, connected by metro (t-banna). That is not the most central place in stochkolm but is only 10 minutes away from it. Staff is helpful and gentle (I guess everyone that works in the field in sweden is) and everything else is rather appealing (room, bar, etc.) If you want to spend some time in stockholm and relax about the price to pay for a decent accomodation that is the place to choose!

As the HQ of my company is located in Stockholm, I quite often stay at Prince Philip. The hhotel is located in the outskirts of stockholm, i a business and shopping area. It is the best choice if you are coming form the Skavsta airport. The flygbussarna coach service stops right in front of the hotel. the hotel is good for both business and tourist purposes with the main companies in the area and underground line running past the hotel. The hotel is not much fancy or elegant, but this should be expected from all nordic hotels. The rooms are small nut clean, breakfast is nice and ample, and although the building is close to a roundabout, it is not that noisy. the carpet on the foyer at some floors is a bit stained, but otherwise the hotel projects a clean and ordinary picture. 8 hrs of free internet/day comes with the room, and if you are a Choice Club member you get a 35 SeK restaurant coupon for each day of your stay, which is not that bad deal, (it bought me free beer to each dinner :). I would recommend the hotel to travelers who want stable service, reasonable price and good connection to both inner-city and outskirts.

Stayed at the Quality Prince Philip Hotel in Skärholmen, Stockholm for a couple of nights in December 2007. The hotel is a decent 3 star hotel, nothing more nothing less. The only issue I would have was with the sice of the room. We were 2 adults and 1 child travelling. I did request a room with either a sofa bed or fold out bed which we did get. However, with the sofa bed out there were not a whole lot of room to move around in, actually no room at all. Since we didnt really spend any time in the hotel besides for our beauty sleep it wasnt that big a deal, but still... Breakfast was really good, self service and buffet style with a brilliant selection! The hotel is about 20 mins from Stockholm City on the tube. It is a couple of minutes walk from Skärholmen tube station and there is also a good size shopping centre, with all the usual Swedish High Street stores. Ikea (the furniture & home interior store) is also within walking distance from the hotel as is Heron City with movie screens, amusements, restaurants etc. Perfect for a rainy day! All in all a decent hotel, in a handy location.
