3.8It's not the smartest place in town BUT...the rooms are immaculate (and if you specify that you want one at the back it'll be quiet), the beds are comfortable, the breakfast-bar is pretty comprehensive and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly - even judged by Swedish standards (which are pretty high to begin with) they really score 10/10. It's 20 mins walk from T-Centralen (the transport hub) but only 5 mins (or less) from the nearest underground station. Also within 5 minutes walk are a range of shops (including a state-run liquor store), bars & every variety of restaurant you could wish for. Unless you really insist on being right in the centre of things this is a pretty good choice, as it is Stockholm is small, as capital cities go, and this hotel is only 3 stops from the Old Town by tube.
I wasn't sure whether to give it 4 or 5 stars. Within its star-rating it might deserve 5, but it doesn't have a lounge or bar, which some people would regard as essential.
