The glassed-in Mälardrottningen Restaurant is found on the fore deck, facing City Hall, and includes an open dining terrace. The bar is set in the former wheelhouse.

Mälardrottningen Yacht Hotel is 500 metres from Gamla Stan Metro Station, and Stockholm Central Station is reached in about 10 minutes’ on foot.

The 61 cabins are situated on 3 decks. The hotel has a sauna complementary for guests. Stävsalong, the conference room, is available for meetings or conferences for up to 15 people.

Built in 1924, the ship was built for Mr C.K.G Billings, a millionaire from New York and at that time the largest diesel driven yacht.

Barbara Hutton, the Woolworth heiress received it as a gift from her father on her 18th birthday and she then gave it to the English Royal Navy.

During the second world war the ship was anchored very shortly in Panama and later on moved to Norway where the ship was used as a training vessel.

following a reconstruction of the ship completed in 1982, Mälardrottningen was anchored by Riddarfjärden in the Old Town.

The service was excellent and the price was unbeatable, even then. Food is excellent, staff was very friendly and they're fluent in English (and 4 other languages). Well within walking distance of the Central Train Station.. Read review

Great location and a good budget hotel in the center of the city. Staff friendly, the room was down near the waterline so the window was screwed shut and breakfast was also nice.

Very evocative history attached to this boat moored in a beautiful Location on the lake and original - great atmosphere. Additionally staff very helpful, good value clean accommodation in a central and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate.

Location was excellent and the food in the places we ate in was great.

The room was generally pretty clean, the restaurant was closed on Sunday night.
