Hotel Porta Nova - Tavira, Portugal     

Just returned 16/07/2008 week all inclusive A stone heavier the food was great . Nice hotel allthought the leasure room was out of order & we had not been informed when we booked the holiday three days before we travelled. Staff can't find fault Cost ?580 for the week pool very nice allthough thers a great big generator going all the time right next to it we found very annoying as our room was right above it aswell. night life there is none no pubs or nightclub just loads of cafe and watch out for the beggers If you want a quiet hol this is for you nice town if you want to get to the beach its a train to the boat the a 2mile steam out to a great sand bank

We've just come back from stayin at prota nova. We arrived at 11 but as we were all inclusive we wasnt aloud to check in untill 12 wich was strange. we had to pay for food and drinks untill we could check in. The snack-bar was open until 11-12 and 5-6 which wasn't good for my daughter. The food in the restaurant was cold and even though people complained they didnt do anythink about it. The staff were lovely and friendly. In the room they had no air-conditioning wich was annoyin because it was 38degrees. I couldnt fault the hotel as it was clean, the only problem was they worked round the bags in the room instead of moving it and making sure they cleaned it properly. The only best part of the hotel was the roof bar...i was lovely. Shame there was no entertainment. I would come back to portugal but maby not this hotel.
