Residencial Setubalense - Setubal, Portugal     

This place was a nice , reasonably well-appointed pension style budget B&B in the old town of Setubal. Despite being slightly more expensive than the other Residencial B&B in Setubal which we used (The Bocage- see my review) it was pretty similar - old - characterful basic accomodation with a plain but decent standard of room and basic continental breakfast - all in all really good value on these terms (I think it was 38 euros per night for 2 people). It also suffered from the same limitations - not readily accessible by car, and fairly difficult to find, being tucked away in the rabbit warren of tiny streets which all look the same. But this place had a further huge drawback - a terrible smell of sewage hung around the place and this had attracted clouds of flies in the rooms. This may have been temporary, since there appeared to be building work ongoing, but i have to judge it on this and hence I cannot recommend it.
