We just retrurned home from an excellent week in Dusseldorf. The Intercity on Graf Adolf Strasse was a decent hotel, room was kind of small but comfortable. The location is great and the free transportation voucher is wonderful. We travelled by train, tram and subway all over the city and the sorrounding area for free. Transportation in Dusseldorf is a pleasure, train staff is very helpful, information counter's all have an English speaker. We had a couple of issues with staff, the girl at the front desk was slow and a little short on customer service a couple of times but it was no big deal. One morning I sat in the breakfast buffet for a coffee and the waiter there, who had a HUGE attitude, tried to give me a bill for 26.00 Euros for coffee. But all in all, we enjoyed the hotel, the location and Dusseldorf as a whole. Don't miss the Old City section. Cologne is a very nice city too. Good shopping at the mall in Roermond.
