Hotel Dateo - Milano, Italy     

I have just returned from a weekend spent with friends in this hotel. It ws absolutely fine: clean, friendly and handy for the centre (7 stops on the bus or 20 mins by underground). The only thing I could have a mini-gripe about was the traffic which was a bit noisy: try to get a room at the back of the hotel. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly. All in all a good experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a limited budget.

One of the few budget hotels we found in Milan. Need to get 2 tube trains to the centre, but only takes about 15 minutes. The tube stop is right outside the hotel. There isn't really anything in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, other than office buildings. We weren't expecting much, as it was cheap and it was very basic. The beds were clean, however the bathroom wasn't. In particular the shower had other peoples hair in it, which was fairly gross. I also had a pile of someone elses toenail clippings next to my bed. Breakfast wasn't great, by the time we went down there was only biscuits left, I think usually there is also a crossiant each. I wouldn't recommend staying here, even if you are on a tight budget, not enjoyable in my opinion.
