Right next door is a famous Cafe Brasil that is excellent and picturesque with great coffee and beer and port and wines as well as a good restaurant in the basement. From the hotel you can walk to anywhere you need to go - there is a Metro station right outside. Down the hill takes you right into the middle of town where you can catch the bus, tram, or trolley to the castle or anywhere else. The rooms are clean, and they have elevators. Besides being kind of noisy, I totally recommend this hotel - the staff were helpful finding where to go and if you fall out the front of the hotel door you are right in the iddle of what you came to Lisbon to see!. Clean and good location, walking distance from the interesting Alfama, wiev from the hotel room to the old buildings. The famous coffe house just next door and excellent price. One female employee at the front desk was pleasant as compared and bathroom was better than I would have expected. The continental breakfast was fine.

Excellent location and somewhat large for a European hotel room. A sparkling bathroom, towels changed daily and handy for bars restaurants. Good choice.
