4Stayed at this hotel (after choosing it from previous reviews) for 3 nights with the in-laws and we all really enjoyed ourselves. It is about an hour stroll from the centre of Lisbon but we preferred this out of town location. The metro station is a 2 minute walk away and an all day pass for the metro, bus and tram is 4 euros. What we didnt find out until our last day is that if you save your metro ticket and put it in the machine the next day when ordering your ticket, you save 50 cents per ticket.
The hotel rooms were big, the beds huge and we had lovely views of the city as we were on the 8th floor. The breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it, though the room was quite small and it did get very busy in there. The reception staff were generally very helpful.
Taxis are a cheap way to get around the city and there is a taxi rank outside the hotel.
We found a lovely restaurant near the castle - it was called Resto and it is behind a gate as you walk down the hill from the castle. There is a bar and a tapas bar, as well as a restaurant with lovely views over the river. The food was to die for - all home cooked and freshly made. The menu outside is all in Portuguese but the staff spoke excellent English and explained what all the dishes were. Resto is a definate must if you want a top quality meal.
There is plenty to see in Lisbon and if we went back we would definitely stay at the Real Parque.
