Hotel Solneve - Covilha, Portugal 

already unappealing due to the fact that it is in the mega-dull Covilha, the solneve has little to offer but charm-free rooms and a decorative computer next to the bed... i say decorative, because the computer is supposed to be hooked up to the internet, but actually does nothing... well, i guess it uses up electricity. the decor in this hotel is like a nightmare from the worst taste of the seventies, all with the patina of 30 years of accumulated dust and dreariness. god knows why, but there was a group of 100 senior-citizen package tourists staying there, which made the breakfast room into a stuffy mess, with poorly stocked vittles, as well as sheer blockage at the front door of the hotel, which overlooks one of the ugliest main squares in a portuguese city that i have come across. i can't think of why you would want to come stay here, unless you are visiting a distant relative or have to attend some work-related event in this city which stands out in terms of only one feature: mediocrity.
