Overall there's plenty of large and small restuarants, pizza parlours, cafes to choose from and average cost is about 5 - 12 euros per head for omeletes/sandwiches/chicken/pasta/fish/rice dishes. Several restaurants worth a mention - O Veleiro (up off main square, right) has a great tourist menu with super 3 course meal, coffee and beer/wine for around 10 euros (special mention to Carlos for skillfully handling the busy tables with a cheery smile). Close by the Cave do Vinho do Porto also has 3 course special for around 11 euros and Luke will provide some nice 'easy listening' live music to accompany your meal.. Read review

Stayed for a short break at Hotel California middle of March, very clean, very friendly and a perfect position in the town for an out-of-season break,even allowing for the road works surrounding the area it was still possible to wander around and enjoy the fishermans beach. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant of the hotel, and whilst the choice was limited, the food was good and nicely presented (there were only two tables occupied).. Read review
