September 2004. Just got back from the Alta Ouro hotel and thought i would say what a fantastic time we have had. Had a one bed room which was huge! Was quiet when we went which made it a lovely relaxing holiday. the hotel is in walking distance from the beach, the strip and the old town. not to short a walk but nice if you dont mind a fifteen min stroll. My 5yr old could manage it easily. My favourite place was the old town, crammed with lots of shops bars and restaurants. Try Liza' pizza an pasta place right near the square, the food and service was brilliant. The night life is pretty good to! Would definatly go again to Albuferia and to this hotel.

A Magical holiday

My 1st and abiding memory of Portugal and Albufiera! We went as a family of 4 in October 2001 and found the apartment to be spacious, extremely clean and accommodating. Very central for our boys who loved The Strip and also for us "olds" who favoured the Old Town (though the boys also fell in love with its charm, having numerous fabulous eating places and wonderful live performers in the square which abounds with the sounds of sparrow song, especially in the evening) A magical place to spend a holiday! When we visit again, and we definately will, Alta Oura will be our preference. Cherished memories - I only hope we can re-visit soon.

We had such a great holiday the apartments were really spacious. Service ok, but sometimes it was hard to get in contact with someone. The biggest problem was we were on the first floor and someone broke into our apartment and stole some belongings....so be careful and lock the patio doors, you'll just have to sweat as there is no air conditioning

Great value for money. very very big clean apartments. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment - plenty of room with 2 young children. Nice pool which was lovely and quiet in the day. fantastic resturant on site. Only 10 min walk to "The Strip" with bars, resturant etc. and 5 mins in taxi to Old Town. Few bars and resturants on your door step if you don't want to travel far. Beach was 15 min walk but worth it. Will definately use again.
