Hotel is indeed five minutes from Santa Eulalia beach. It may be a bit away from old Albufeira, however for us it was an advantage as there were no huge crowds around the beach and the hotel itself. The surrounding is very quiet and cosy, hotel has a rooftop restaurant. At the same time it is located 5 minutes walk to shopping and restaurants that are just on top of the hill. The quality of service was excellent and gentlemen at the reception great. It can be recommended for people that appreciate holiday in a big resort city, but without huge crowds that normally go along with it. Huge advantage of the hotel is its own parking lot.

This was the first time we have stayed in the hotel and would not revisit. The first room we were allocated was disgraceful....on the ground floor next to the entrance completly surounded by windows and curtains...we would have needed to keep the curtains closed all the time including the day to get any privacy. We complained and got another room the next day, however the web site stated soundproof rooms...alas no way....the traffic can be heard all night... the hotel is on a very busy road....also on the morning we were awakened by the staff getting breakfast ready...our room was directly below the resturant. breakfast was poor with choice....if you did not like cheese and ham ...tough. in addition, the bar was never open. Dont be fooled by the "5 mins away from the centre of Albufeira" as stated on the website more like 20-30 mins on a very hilly route. on the whole I was very disappointed with the hotel

Agree with other reports, not a fancy hotel but we had an excellent holiday, location good, amenities good, kids club good, when it was time for the kids club they were all off like a shot. Snack bar is a little dearer than outside the hotel but still not expensive and food nice. Hire a fan 10 euro's a week - well worth it. Dont worry if you have a late flight they have facilities for taking a shower on the last day. We found the resort very good, people lovely, we had some lovely meals (the indian restaurant called Curry Night just around the corner was fantastic). You can pick up what's called the "free map" from almost any pub and it is really handy. Carlsberg beer in the local supermarket 33 pence. Can't be bad. Again loved the Portugal and it's nice to go somewhere local people actually like us Brits! We are going to be learning some Portuguese for next year.
