2i stayed here in september '08... i would say the good things about this hotel was the view (was on the 24th floor), the location (right in the center of Warsaw), and that the facilities (lobby/bathroom/nice flat screen TV in room, slightly unstable but free internet w/ cable) seemed fairly nice and new - someone in Warsaw that it was recently renovated 2 years ago.

the bad things: although most of the things in the hotel and my room were impressive, one wasn't - the bed. there was a HUGE stain (of what, i don't know and want to know) on the inside of my covers, and the bedding itself seemed too old and worn out. the bed was such a disappointment and looked out of place in the otherwise upgraded room. i would also say that the service was poor - it took my receptionist about 20 minutes to get me checked in; why, i don't know. my room key stopped working and had to get a new one; on top of that, my room phone was broken. at first, they told me to come down to the lobby because they needed my credit card to open my line - that was fine, and i did. when it still didn't work after that, i called the reception again and the receptionist told me to wait 5 minutes for the system to validate my phone. i waited for 20 minutes, still didn't work. when i called again, the same receptionist told me that they would send a man up to check it out - he never came.

maybe it was just a bad experience, but i think i would have been fine if the receptionists' attitudes were just a bit nicer or friendlier - they seemed indifferent and unapologetic about it all. also, you need to swipe your key card for each time you use the elevator - maybe that's the system in europe, but i found it very annoying.

stay at Polonia Palace instead - I stayed there in 2005; it was SO much nicer. you get complimentary breakfast and everything is absolutely beautiful in there.
