4.4I see that most people have a positive review for this hotel and I definitely agree. The only thing that I would give a low rating for this hotel is the way the bell boy handled our taxi trip to the airport.

My parents and I were preparing to leave the hotel for the airport. The bell boy asked if we would like to call for a taxi and we told him yes. He got a car to pick us up and helped load our luggages into the trunk. My father tipped the bell boy and we hurriedly left. It was my father who noticed that there was no meter in the car. We asked the driver how much he's charging us and he said 60 zloty. We told him that when we took a taxi from the airport to the Intercontinental hotel, it cost us only 35 zloty. He then said that this price has been like this for 5 or 6 years. After getting off the car, we noticed that the car had a "Intercontinental Hotel" label on it.

What makes us very disappointed is that the bell boy did NOT get us a taxi. Instead, he got us a car that represents the hotel and the driver charged us almost double the amount of money for the trip to the airport. We never agreed to get a ride from a car belonging to the hotel. If it was a matter of not being able to get a taxi, the bell boy should have told us that this was another option, how much it would cost and whether or not we would be willing to take this option.

Make sure you check to see if "Intercontinental Hotel" is anywhere on the car. To be safe, get them to call a radio taxi for you.
