In a city with a lot of new business hotels, Polonia Palace combines the advantages of a brand new hotel with the clasical atmosphere of a reconstructed hotel. Architecture was beautiful, staff was really charming, room was really big and clean. Buffet breakfast was the best I have ever seen, combining different cuisines, even Chinese! There is an ample and clean fitting area, including sauna. Hotel is well located in the middle of the business area in downtown Warsaw. The only thing I have found dissapointed was the price charged for Internet access -cable, no wifi- in the room. 24 euros a day is too much, even for such a high class hotel.

I stayed one night at the Polonia palace on business. Whenever I travel alone for work I always look for comfortable hotels, located near main train stations for ease of travel and a nice restaurant to eat in come evening once I've finished the pile of work. The restaurant is very pleasant, the staff are friendly and the food is a mix of Europen and Polish and made a nice change from usual hotel restaurant food. Very reasonably priced, around £30 for 2 courses plus wine and coffee. The breakfast is quite a treat - something for everyone! The room was large, spacious and comfortable. The location is convenient for the train station and the palace of culture, however the old town where the most beautiful buildings are is a short tube journey away, so bear this in mind if you'd rather stay nearer the touristic sites. There are a bunch of really nice restaurants if you cross over the main road and head right through the shopping centre.
