"Possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in"

My mother and I have just returned from a five-night stay in the Sheraton and we both agree that this is one hotel that we will be returning to in the future. The rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean, with the MOST comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The tea/coffee facilities are much appreciated too! The breakfast is excellent and really sets you up for the day. The staff are all excellent, very helpful,friendly and efficient. They have brilliant local knowledge and, when I informed them that it was my mother's birthday during our stay,they went out of their way to get us a good table in a fantastic restaurant, as well as organising cake and wine in our room! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and I would encourage everyone who can afford it to stay here when they visit Krakow

Loved the hotel, the staff, location and especially the breakfast. Staff is extremely friendly and not stuffy. Breakfast the best we've had at a hotel in Europe. We had a little trouble with the hotel car to the train station. A cab would have been better

Great Place to Stay

I have just spent four nights at the Sheraton Krakow having booked the hotel through a website and after having read about it through trip advisor. I decided to spend a little extra on accommodation in Krakow and was incredibly pleased I did. The hotel is consistent with all quality overseas Sheratons (not including the USA!) and as good as any I have stayed in back in Australia. The location, while not centrally located on the Old Town Square is a safe, easy walk of about 15mins through parkland. I got a taxi from the airport as the train ans bus drop you at the central terminal and that really in a bit of a walk! I used the hotel limo to get back to the airport and it only cost nother AUD$10.00. The rooms are very spacious and as other trip advisor members have already noted, the breakfast is excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Krakow is wonderful - some places I visited included Auschwitz (go by yourself and avoid the tour buses!), the Wawel Castle, Churches, Churches and more Churches and the Old Jewish district.

I stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights over a weekend. It was a great place to stay, the location is good and the food and service were all excellent. I would definitely go back. My only complaint is nothing to do with the hotel: people are smoking everywhere (there is no smoking ban in Poland) and therefore the whole of the hotel stinks of cigarette smoke. The restaurant, where you have a lovely buffet breakfast, does have a non-smoking section but as it is all open plan, the smoke drifts over from the smoking section and the lobby. It is possible to request a non-smoking room but this has to be done well in advance as they have very few of these. However, I was told that they will be increasing the number of non-smoking rooms in the future as there is now a greater demand.
