"Excellent, central hotel"

This is a very new hotel. The hotel is a modern business type hotel with internet in the rooms both on a fitted internet station and also a connection for a laptop. The rooms are not massive but are big enough. The hotel has excellent views over the city which are even better when you are sat in the jacuzzi on the 7th floor watching the sun set over the many church spires. The room we booked included breakfast which was very good. Included everything from bacon and eggs to fruit and yogurt to local cakes, bread and meats. We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights of our stay here which was high quality but was more expensive than some of the restaurants in Krakow. But this is to be expected for a hotel restaurant. The hotel is easy to find, being well signed from the main roads. The hotel is located adjacent to the river just south of the city and is about a 15 minute walk from the central square. I would highly recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again.

We stayed three nights at the Qubus hotel, and were very pleased with our stay. It is a new building, and is very airy and comfortable. The rooms are medium size, and come with a TV with built-in computer. The bathroom was spotless, modern and done to a high standard. Breakfast is a typical Germanic-Polish affair. Nothing special, but decent enough. The one complaint would be that some of the bread wasn't always very fresh. We also tried the restaurant one night, which was a nice experience. There is a little noise from outside, and although I am very sensitive to that, I had no problems sleeping or relaxing. Our window was on the noisier side of the building. The location was fine for us. It's about 15 minutes walk into the old town of Krakow, which is ideal. It gives you the opportunity to spend at least some time outside of the touristy places and get a flavour of local life. The Jewish district is just around the corner and worth a visit, followed by dinner in one of the excellent restaurants. Overall, I was happy with my stay here. There was a slight hint of charming amateurism in the hotel (as in the rest of Krakow), but that didn't really bother me, as it makes it all the more interesting. Four stars for me.

This is a modern hotel, situated on the banks of the river Vistula, about 20 minutes walk from the main square in Krakov. A pleasant design with light airy and modern rooms. Well fitted bathrooms with hair dryer and also an iron and ironing board in each room. Flat scren TV also. Draw back is the very small 2'6" single beds!!! Fairly comfortable but oh so small - have no idea how larger/taller people get on, but we found them uncomfortable. On our first night we were allocated a room on the first floor overlooking the reception/bar area and for some reason there was jazz music playing all night long!! We complained at 1am, 2am and again at 3 am and were simply told they couldn't turn it off!! Neddless to say we complained again the following day and were moved to a quieter room overlooking the side road. Noise from the bar/reception is a real issue though because of the design of the area, everything echoes. I would advise anyone staying to request a room on the other side or third floor and above. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice and unusually good coffee. We ate once in the restaurant and it was very acceptable and well priced. The area around the hotel is interesting and in the small Jewish Quarter square about 10 mins walk away there is a selection of restaurants. We though SZARA excellent. Although dearer than the rest the quality of the food made it well worth the extra cost. No 24 and 34 tram take visitors from hotel into the city centre in about 8 minutes. There is also a hotel boat which takes you (on the hour and with prior reservation) along the river to the Castle area - takes about 10 minutes and is quite pleasant. it is also free - apart from a small tip.
