stayed at the Stary in August 2008 and would never stay there again. On the third night of a five night stay my locked hotel room was broken into and my laptop and camera stolen.<br>The hotel did not call the police, I had to have a Polish colleague whom I was working with do this. The only way to enter the room was with a key card issued by the hotel, the hotel room had been entered with such a key card.<br>The hotel manager seemed unconcerned and would not offer compensation until after the police were done with their reports: I have not heard a thing from the hotel manager since and am still waiting for compensation from the hotel... I was not even offered a change of room which left me feeling very vunerable. Very bad service and attitude for a 5 star hotel and raises concerns about their security. Please note that in August there was no security cameras anywhere in the hotel

A Good Hotel

We stayed for 3 nights at this very nice hotel which is close to the main square. The spa pool in the basement is excellent with enough gym equipment for most needs. The roof top restaurant was good but remarkably quiet. The room was a standard sized hotel room with everything that you would expect from this type of hotel. A good buffet style breakfast is included with the room. Would definitely use the hotel again.
