Very poor soundproofing. Lots of noise from next room. Housekeeping seem poorly motivated/managed. Room was not properly tidied.

Our room had a little kitchen and was huge. The hotel is in a neighborhood with a verity of affordable restaurants and nice buildings. It is a short walk to the subway line and all the busses. The internet works and so does the AC.

Sleepless nights at Kazimierz II but served a purpose

Nice basic rooms but we had no air conditioning. Hot running water and bathroom ok. Only problem was the noise from other rooms. The walls must be so thin - I could even hear the person next door sneeze, cough, empty their bladder and snore. Not good if you're after a good night's sleep. Otherwise, the location is great, right in the middle of everything but I wouldn't stay here again. We paid a bit more for the first night and stayed in the Columbus - I'd rather stay there where the walls are thicker than paper.

Just got back after a great trip to Krakow. I booked this hotel based on price and most of the positive reviews. There were 4 of us and we arrived before the 2pm check in and only 1 room was available, but no probs. Dropped off luggage in the one room and started our holiday! As other reviews mention a 15 minute walk to main square, only 5 minute walk to Jewish quarter restaurants, which we only discovered on day 3!! Hotel room was nice. Bigger than some European hotel rooms (105) overlooking courtyard, great bathroom and shower although water wasn't roasting hot in the morning but hot enough for our needs! We requested a quiet room which I'm glad we did because the trams do run past and although you don't really here them from this room, you still experience the vibration as they thunder past. Breakfast was the best ever European we've had. Lots of choice and as per previous review, there were boiled eggs each day but scrambled eggs were available on request each day, plus various other egg connotations which were charged to your room if that was what you fancied. The towels weren't big and fluffy but we had no problem with them, they were clean as was the room. The bedding was a little odd...a rough kind of duvet and pillows in the same material! The duvet wasn't the largest in the world either. Lots of places to eat and drink. Lots of places to exchange money, which I wish I had done as you get a much better rate by exchanging your money there. All in all I would definitely recommend this Hotel, lots to explore round about which we never had time to do. Went to the Salt Mines (half hour bus ride away) which was amazing and also Auschwitz (hour and half bus ride away) which was also amazing in a different kind of way :( Dont hesitate in going to this decent 3 star hotel, just ensure you get a quiet room.
