The hostel is just 100 meters from the main railway station and only a 3-minute walk from the Old Market Square. Planty Park is just 30 meters away and a short stroll through the park takes you to Old Town. Krakow’s gallery is just 100 meters from the hostel and bars and restaurants are all around.
Various clubs, pubs, cafes and restaurants are all within your grasp. You can also relax in Planty Park after a day of visiting the nearby museums, historical monuments and exhibitions.
The well-informed and friendly staff are ready to help you in planning your city tours and trips outside of Krakow, such as to Wieliczka Salt Mine, Auschwitz concentration camp or to Zakopane. You will receive tourist and travel information at reception.
Travel information
The City Hostel Kraków is only a 2 minute walk from the train station and 3 minutes from the Old Market Square.
From the main railway station:
- Cross Basztowa Street and enter Sw. Krzyza Street, where you will find the City Hostel.
From the airport, take the direct train to the main railway station and follow the instructions above.
A taxi from the airport will take you longer than a train, and should not cost more than PLN 60 to 70 (EUR 18). The hotel can arrange a cab for you.
By bus:
- Take number 192 and alight at Plac Matejki.
- Pass Basztowa Street onto the Barbacan and then turn left onto Szpitalna Street.
- If you turn left onto Marka Street, you will find City Hostel just on the corner with Sw. Krzyza Street.
